It will take a while for your pet to get its grooming completely done. Please see the tab Pet Grooming Tips. The groomer will call you when your pet is done. Please do not “drop by” if you haven’t yet heard from your groomer.
If this is your first visit to the groomer, you will need to have a client information form filled out.
We will need a copy of your pet’s vaccination record sent to us prior to your visit. Dogs have to be vaccinated for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (a kennel cough). They need to have these done at least 24 to 48 hours prior to your grooming appointment in case there is a reaction. You or your vet can fax a copy to us at 785-539-7335 or email it to us at [email protected]. Just please let us know that it is for a grooming appointment.
You are welcome to bring any medicated shampoos that have been prescribed by your vet. We also offer a variety of hypoallergenic and soothing shampoos. Talk to your groomer to determine the best course of action.
Your pet will have to be on a leash or in a carrier. We understand that your furry friend may be very well mannered and listens to your every command, but there can be too much excitement and many different variables, mainly other dogs that may not be so well-behaved. Having your pet on a leash or in a carrier ensures that everyone comes in and is able to go home without incident.
No. It is best that you are not with your pets during the session. Your pet will not be able to relax completely and enjoy their experience. The groomer needs to be the one in charge of the session and having Mom or Dad there ends up being a distraction rather than helping.
